    What is The Alaric Project?
    The Alaric Project Inc is a New York City-based initiative using professional floral craft as a pathway to workforce access, adult reskilling, and inclusive creative education.
    Where do you operate?
    We are based on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and anticipate serving participants across New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island.
    Is The Alaric Project a 501(c)(3)?
    Federal tax-exempt status is under evaluation. We do not represent ourselves as a 501(c)(3) at this time.
    Are donations tax-deductible?
    Not at this time. If you would like to support the Project, please contact us to discuss sponsorship and partnership options.
    Is The Alaric Project affiliated with Alaric Flower Design?
    The Alaric Project Inc is a separate legal entity from Alaric Flower Design Inc. We maintain independent governance and finances.
    Do you sell flowers?
    No. The Alaric Project does not operate as a retail florist and does not sell floral products.
    Who can apply?
    Adults seeking reskilling, younger participants interested in apprenticeship pathways, older adults seeking structured creative engagement, and individuals with special educational needs may apply, subject to program fit and partner availability.
    Do I need experience in florals to apply?
    No. Many participants start with no prior experience. We design programs to meet participants where they are.
    What programs do you offer?
    Programs are designed around workforce reskilling cohorts, apprenticeship pathways, cognitive engagement workshops for older adults, and inclusive creative education for special educational needs.
    Are programs free?
    Program structure, including any participant costs or sponsorship coverage, will be communicated to selected participants on a program-by-program basis.
    Are apprenticeships paid?
    Some apprenticeship pathways may include compensation through aligned studio placements or partner organizations. Details depend on the specific opportunity.
    Do you guarantee employment?
    No. Participation does not guarantee employment. Our goal is to provide credible training, exposure, and pathways that improve participant outcomes.
    Do you work with partner organizations?
    Yes. We welcome partnerships with community organizations, schools, workforce development groups, care homes, and other aligned institutions across NYC.
    Do you work with care homes or dementia support programs?
    We are open to collaborating with care providers to design workshops that support engagement and stimulation in appropriate settings.
    Do you offer programs for special educational needs?
    Yes. We aim to create adapted learning environments and curricula to support a range of learning needs, typically delivered with partner support.
    How are participants selected?
    Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Selection depends on program readiness, alignment, availability, and partner capacity.
    Where are programs held?
    Locations vary by program. Sessions may be held in partner spaces across NYC or in suitable workshop environments arranged for a cohort.
    How often do cohorts run?
    Cohort timing depends on partner scheduling and program capacity. The application form is the best way to express interest for upcoming cycles.
    Can I sponsor a cohort or partner program?
